Terms of Use

Electrica, Inc.
Effective Date / Last Updated: July 27, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://www.electrica-inc.com (the “Site”), operated by Electrica, Inc. (“Electrica,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California corporation and licensed electrical contractor, CSLB License #1023830.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Site Is Informational; No Contract Is Formed Online

The Site describes electrical services we offer in the San Jose and Bay Area region of California. Content on the Site — including service descriptions, blog articles, illustrative pricing, and FAQs — is provided for general informational purposes only.

  • Submitting a request form, calling us, or receiving a preliminary estimate does not create a contract for services. Electrical work is performed only under a separate written agreement (proposal/contract) signed by both parties, which will state the actual scope, price, and terms, as required of California licensed contractors.
  • Any prices, ranges, or examples shown on the Site are estimates for orientation only and are not offers. Actual pricing depends on site conditions, permits, materials, and scope.
  • We may accept or decline any service request at our discretion, including based on service area, scope, or scheduling.

2. Not Professional Advice; No Emergency Use

Content on the Site is not engineering, safety, legal, or code-compliance advice for your specific situation. Electrical systems are dangerous; do not attempt repairs based on Site content. In an electrical emergency (fire, sparking, burning smell, downed lines), do not use this Site — call 911 and/or your utility immediately.

3. License Information

Electrica, Inc. is licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), License #1023830. You may verify our license at https://www.cslb.ca.gov. Nothing on the Site expands the scope of work we are licensed to perform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
  • Submit false, misleading, or third-party information in our forms without authorization;
  • Submit automated, bulk, or bot-generated form submissions, or probe, scan, or test the Site’s security;
  • Scrape, harvest, or copy Site content or data except as permitted by Section 5;
  • Interfere with the operation of the Site or attempt to access non-public areas or systems.

We may block, restrict, or terminate access to the Site for violations of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content — text, graphics, logos, photographs, page design, and code — are owned by Electrica or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial use. No other rights are granted. “Electrica” and our logo may not be used without our prior written permission.

If you submit ideas, feedback, or suggestions about the Site or our services, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

6. Communications

If you provide your contact information and applicable consent through the Site, we may contact you by phone, SMS, and email as described in our Privacy Policy (see its Section 7, including how to opt out). Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages.

7. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Site may link to third-party websites and services (e.g., review platforms, maps, social networks, manufacturer resources). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Links do not imply endorsement.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties (Site)

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SITE CONTENT IS CURRENT OR COMPLETE.

This Section applies to the Site only. Warranties applicable to electrical work we perform, if any, are stated exclusively in the written service contract for that work and are not affected by this Section.

9. Limitation of Liability (Site)

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELECTRICA AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER CALIFORNIA LAW, AND NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OR MODIFIES OUR OBLIGATIONS OR YOUR RIGHTS UNDER A SEPARATE WRITTEN CONTRACT FOR ELECTRICAL WORK OR UNDER CALIFORNIA CONTRACTOR LICENSING LAW.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Electrica from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with the Site.

11. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue for any such dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Disputes concerning electrical work we perform are governed by the dispute-resolution provisions of the applicable written service contract, not by this Section.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Changes apply prospectively from posting. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

13. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Electrica regarding use of the Site (they do not supersede any written service contract for electrical work). You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
