This Privacy Policy describes how Electrica, Inc. (“Electrica,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California licensed electrical contractor (CSLB License #1023830), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website at https://www.electrica-inc.com (the “Site”) or communicate with us about our services.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.

This Policy applies only to the Site and our related communications. It does not apply to information collected offline in the course of performing electrical work at your property, except where that information is combined with information collected through the Site (for example, when we link your service request to your project record).

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

When you submit our contact / quote request form, you provide:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address
• ZIP code
• A message describing your project or service need
• Your consent choices (via the consent checkbox on the form)

You may also provide information when you call, text, or email us directly.

We do not offer online payments or user accounts on the Site, and we do not collect payment card information through the Site.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen characteristics.
• Usage information: pages viewed, time on page, referring page, links clicked, approximate geographic location derived from IP address.
• Advertising click identifiers: if you arrive at the Site by clicking one of our ads, the URL may contain a click identifier assigned by the advertising platform (for example, Google’s gclid, gbraid, or wbraid, or Meta’s fbclid) along with campaign parameters (UTM parameters). We store these identifiers in a first-party cookie on your device for up to 90 days and in our database in connection with any service request you submit, so that we can measure which advertising led to the request.
• Session identifier: a first-party cookie containing a session/chat identifier (chat_id) used to operate Site features.
• Our own server-side analytics: we record visit and event data (sessions, page events) in our own database to understand how the Site is used.

C. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use first-party cookies (set by us) and third-party cookies and tags (set by our analytics and advertising partners) for the purposes described in Section 3. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site features. For advertising-related choices, see Sections 5 and 6.

2. Categories of Personal Information (California Notice at Collection)

In the last 12 months we have collected, or in the next 12 months we expect to collect, the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”):

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or other “sensitive personal information” as defined by the CCPA through the Site, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a “Right to Limit” notice.

We retain personal information as described in Section 8.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

1. Respond to your service request — contact you by phone call, text message (SMS), or email about your inquiry, provide estimates, and schedule work.
2. Perform and document our services, including recordkeeping required of licensed contractors.
3. Measure our advertising. We connect service requests to the ad clicks that produced them so we know which advertising works. This includes uploading certain information about your request to Google (and, in the future, Meta) as described in Section 5.
4. Advertise our services, including showing ads to people who have visited the Site or contacted us, and to audiences similar to them.
5. Analyze and improve the Site (analytics, performance, content decisions).
6. Protect the Site and our business — detect spam, bots, fraud, and abuse; secure our systems.
7. Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects device and usage information as described above. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We also operate our own first-party analytics (Section 1.B), which stores visit and event data on our servers and is not shared with third parties except as described in this Policy.

5. Advertising and Conversion Measurement (Important — Please Read)

We use or may use the following advertising platforms: Google (Search and related networks) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure and improve our advertising, we share limited information with these platforms as described below. The Meta tools described in subsection B apply if and when we run advertising on Meta platforms.

A. Google Ads

• Click and conversion tracking. When you click one of our Google ads, Google assigns a click identifier (gclid/gbraid/wbraid). If you later submit a service request, we record that a conversion occurred and associate it with the click identifier.
• Enhanced conversions. When you submit our form, we convert your email address and phone number into a SHA-256 hashed (cryptographically scrambled) format and transmit the hashed values to Google. Google uses the hashed data solely to match the conversion to a signed-in Google account for ad measurement and does not share it with other advertisers. • Call reporting. Some of our ads and listings display Google forwarding phone numbers. If you call one of these numbers, Google connects the call to us and collects call data — such as your phone number, the call’s date, time, duration, and area code — and shares call details with us so we can measure which ads generate phone calls.
• Offline / server conversion uploads. We periodically upload conversion records from our own systems to Google Ads (via Google’s data upload interfaces). These uploads may include the click identifier, the date and value of the conversion, and hashed email address and phone number. They do not include the content of your message.

B. Meta

When active, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel collects information about your visit (pages viewed, actions such as form submission, cookie identifiers); the Conversions API transmits similar event information from our servers, and both may include SHA-256 hashed email address and phone number for match purposes. Meta’s Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can manage how Meta uses data to show you ads at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences.

C. What this means under California law

We do not sell personal information for money. However, disclosing identifiers and internet activity to advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” (and in some interpretations “selling”) of personal information under the CCPA. The categories involved are: identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity information, disclosed to advertising networks (Google; Meta when enabled). You have the right to opt out — see Section 6.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

6. Your Choices: Opting Out of Sale/Sharing and Targeted Advertising

You can opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in any of the following ways:

1. Email us at info@electrica-inc.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.” We will apply your opt-out to our advertising uploads within 15 business days of receiving your request.
2. Platform-level controls: Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), Meta Ad Preferences (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences), and industry tools such as https://optout.aboutads.info.

Opting out does not stop non-personalized advertising and does not affect our ability to contact you about a service request you submitted.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals.

7. How We Communicate With You (Calls, Texts, Email)

By submitting a service request through our form and affirming the consent statement presented with it, you agree that we may contact you by phone call, SMS/text message, and email at the number and address you provided, regarding your inquiry and our services. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing any services.

You may withdraw your consent at any time and by any reasonable method, including:

• Replying STOP to any text message (reply HELP for assistance);
• Clicking unsubscribe in any marketing email;
• Emailing or calling us using the contact details in Section 13.

We will honor revocation requests within the timeframes required by law. If you revoke consent, we may still send you non-marketing communications directly related to an active service request or project (for example, confirming an appointment you asked for).

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

• Advertising click-ID cookies: up to 90 days.
• Analytics data (Google Analytics): retained by Google per our configured retention period (currently 14 months for event-level data).
• Our server-side analytics (sessions/events): for as long as reasonably necessary for the analytics purposes described in this Policy, after which data is deleted or aggregated.
• Service inquiry and customer records: for the duration of our relationship and thereafter as required for legal, warranty, insurance, tax, and contractor-licensing recordkeeping purposes (generally at least 4 years for contract-related records under California law), after which they are deleted or anonymized.

9. How We Disclose Personal Information

Beyond the advertising disclosures in Section 5, we disclose personal information to:

• Service providers that host the Site, store our data, provide communications (email/SMS delivery), and provide analytics — under contracts limiting their use of the information to providing services to us.
• Advertising platforms (Google; Meta when enabled) as described in Section 5.
• Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, insurers) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy’s commitments will continue to apply to previously collected information.

We do not disclose your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

10. Your California Privacy Rights

We provide California residents the following rights with respect to personal information we hold. We honor these requests regardless of whether the CCPA’s applicability thresholds technically apply to our business.

• Right to Know / Access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.
• Right to Delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., records we must keep as a licensed contractor, security and legal-defense purposes).
• Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: see Section 6.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

How to submit a request: email info@electrica-inc.com or call (408) 583-6354. We will verify your identity by matching the information you provide (typically name, email, and phone number) against our records; we may request additional information if needed. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request; we will require proof of authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable by an additional 45 days with notice).

11. Children

The Site is intended for adults seeking electrical services. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security; Third-Party Links; Changes

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information (including transport encryption and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party sites. The Site links to third-party sites (e.g., Yelp, Google Maps, LinkedIn, Facebook). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we do not control.

Changes. We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes affecting previously collected information will apply prospectively or with your consent where required by law.
